In his speech, Ambassador Wang conveyed his congratulations for their attainment of Chinese Government Scholarship and stated that the prospect of China-Maldives Educational Cooperation was promising. He hoped that all the entrants present could overcome challenges, study diligently, master skills and knowledge and contribute to social and economic development in Maldives after coming back.

Ms. Alluka, who would go to study in Peking University soon, expressed her appreciation to Chinese Embassy for the opportunity of study-in-China and scholarship. She added that she would treasure this opportunity to make achievements in her study. She also expressed her aspiration of being the one whom her country would be proud of one day.

For the year of 2016, totally, 18 Maldivian students gained the opportunity of Chinese Government Scholarship of different kinds, varying from 2 years to 5 years of study.
