On March 13, The Table Tennis Association of Maldives held a welcome ceremony for the Chinese Coaching Team from Yunnan Province in the TT Hall. H.E. Ambassador Wang Lixin, H.E. Ahmed Mahloof, Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Delegation from China’s Yunnan Province, Members of Table Tennis Maldives attended the ceremony to warmly welcome the coach team. 

Ambassador Wang Lixin highlighted the significance of this two-week training program. It is a demonstration of the friendship and cooperation between China and Maldives, and also a new start of CNMV sports exchange and cooperation. Ambassador Wang wished the training program a full success and Maldivian players could benefit from it.

H.E. Minister Ahmed Mahloof and VP Shiuree from Table Tennis Maldives expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for helping Maldivian sports development. They said that with China’s assistance, Maldivian Ping Pong players are very competitive in the region now. Maldivian side hopes to deepen the China-Maldives exchange and cooperation in more fields of sports.

After the ceremony, Chinese and Maldivian coaches held an exhibition match and showed their excellent Table Tennis skills. China is always ready to work with the Maldivian side to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in fields such as sports & youth to promote the friendship and bilateral relations between the two countries.
