On 19th September 2022, the ceremony for donation of 3000 LED street lights from the Chinese Embassy in Maldives to the Male City Council is held in the Media Center of Male City Council. H.E. Ambassador Wang Lixin and H.E. Mayor Dr. Mohamed Muizzu attended the ceremony and delivered warm remarks.
Ambassador Wang Lixin highlighted that the donation of the 3000 LED street lights is a special gift for Male City and its residents on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between China and Maldives, which will illuminate the road of happiness for the local people while making Malé much brighter and more beautiful.
Mayor Dr. Mohamed Muizzu extended gratefulness to the Chinese Embassy and expressed his confidence that the donated streets lights will make Male City even safer and brighter in favor of the local people’s well-being.
The two dignitaries signed and exchanged certificates of the donation and witnessed the first LED street light installed on the spot.
