Maldivian Government extended warm congratulations on the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China

On October 22, at the Reception Celebrating the 73rd Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 50th Anniversary of Establishment of the China-Maldives Diplomatic Relations, H.E. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih delivered a speech conveying warm greetings on the successful conclusion of the 20th National Congress of CPC and extending sincere wishes to H.E. President Xi Jinping, the government and the people of China.



On October 23, 2022, President of the Republic of Maldives H.E. Ibrahim Mohamed Solih sent a congratulatory message to Chinese President Xi Jinping on his being elected as the General Secretary of CPC Central Committee for a third term, stressing that China has consistently been a close ally and a reliable development partner to Maldives since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and hoping that the friendship and close cooperation that have stood for half a century will be further strengthened in the years ahead for the common benefit of the two countries and peoples.

On October 23, Maldivian Foreign Minister H.E. Abdulla Shahid posted a tweet conveying warm congratulations to H.E. Wang Yi, State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China, on his being elected to the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, and expressing confidence that under his able leadership Maldives-China relations will prosper in the years to come.

On October 24, Maldivian Foreign Minister H.E. Abdulla Shahid sent a message to H.E. Wang Yi, State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China, conveying warm congratulations and best wishes on his being elected as a member of the 20th Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee during the recently held National Congress.
